This year, the team at Breakthrough in Education decided to run a Christmas Classroom Decorating competition. To spread some much-needed festivity around schools in Suffolk and Lancashire. We reached out to Primary and Secondary schools in both counties, asking them to send us in photos of their festively decorated classrooms, and to be as creative as possible! We had over 25 fantastic entries to the competition, with real effort being put in by both staff and students. There were window displays, wall displays, Christmas trees and some classes even incorporated interactive and sensory aspects in to their decorations. As prizes, Christmas presents for every staff member and student in the winning classes were sent out, but it really was hard to pick! Newfield School!
Newfield School were our winners in Lancashire, very well deserved. Look at that beautiful Christmas Igloo! So many textures must make for a great sensory experience.
Thomas Wolsey!
Our Suffolk winners were Hedgehog Class from Thomas Wolsey! This wintery light up ball pool plays Christmas music which can be felt through vibrations at the bottom. So the pupils can really feel the music!
